Accepting New Clients!
Premarital counseling with Prepare/Enrich starts with a one-time online assessment before you meet with your therapist. This assessment is not a pass/fail test, but a snapshot of what your relationship looks like at the moment. Your therapist will receive a report that analyzes your responses, noting your similarities, differences, strength and growth areas, and important topics to focus on. The results of this assessment will guide your premarital sessions, with plenty of activities, discussions, and helpful skills to practice.
Premarital counseling is typically short-term, lasting on average 8-12 sessions (though it can certainly be longer or shorter based on your needs). In your premarital counseling sessions, your therapist will provide structure to make sure you make the most of your time. You will gain insight into you and your partner’s relationship, build important relationship skills, and plan for your future together. Common topics addressed include communication and conflict resolution skills, finances, marriage expectations, sex, children, and more.

Q: What is prepare enrich?
A: Prepare/Enrich is a premarital assessment and curriculum. You’ll take an assessment at the beginning of our time together, which will guide our counseling sessions. Prepare/Enrich is one of the most researched premarital tools.
Q: What do sessions look like? What if we don’t have much to talk about?
A: Premarital counseling sessions are a bit more structured than typical couples therapy. It’s okay if you don’t know where to start- let me (and the Prepare/Enrich curriculum) guide you! Each session will have one or two topics to focus on, including guided activities, education, and important discussions to dive into.
Q: How long will it take?
A: Because it is more structured, premarital counseling can be a bit more short-term, often lasting 8-12 sessions. However, depending on your needs and what comes up during our work together, it can certainly be shorter or longer!
Q: You said you can give us a discount?
A: I am a provider through the Twogether In Texas program. Eligible couples may receive a $60 discount on their marriage license along with having the 72-hour waiting period waived.Visit https://twogetherintexas.com for more information.
